Hi Sean ... it is most likely a problem with the switch config... or a switch to router config proble ... can you eliminate the router as the switch will andle a direct input from the dsl modem ... If you want to keep the same config try assigning static IPs....

its faily simple to set up the network but if you want the second computer to use a wireless card then you need a second wioreless card on the first computer... use winroute on the first computer and put the other second computer and the second wireless card on a seperate network ... winroute...
sounds an awful lot like a virus to me ... I recommend a hardware approach to this problem ... simply monitor the network and start unpluging clients... as you hook the client back up also monitor because if it is a virus it may be present on more than one client.... another nice tool to use in...
if you want simple and cheap try VNCremote... there are secure tunnel versions available ... and the cost is $0 unless you want to buy a t-shirt or make a donation...

My guess is you have winroute running. It was probalble installed with one of the nic drivers or if you have any pci to pcmcia adapters it usually ships is installed by default with the drivers...
