Hi thks for the reply. Basically in my experience, the corsair "silent" fans advertised at 1100rpm are still audible in my air-con room. However the usual 1650rpm fans downvoted to 7V are silent. I don't do any measurements if u get my meaning. Has anyone "broken" the LEDs on the corsair fans b4?

Does anyone know if you are able to disable the LEDs by cutting any wires on them? Reason is cos I want the fans to be in 1650-1500 range, when I down vote them to 7V, they be silent. 1100 rpm range fans at 12V are not quiet enough for me sadly.

Anyone else here is annoyed by the Zotac 1070 Amp Extreme's glaring lights. Card is great, quiet and big like a boss. But the lights are annoying the f*** outta me. Even the front of my case is getting light though :(
