My friend gave me this problem from his kids computer. It's a Epox 8KTA2 mobo with a 800 mghz. AMD Athlon , 256 Kingston memory and a newer 20 gb. Western Digital hardrive.
I figure that theres some kind of virus (worm)on it .

I recently installed a new modem and old Compaq 520 Crt monitor for a older MSI Turbo2 mobo with a fresh install of Win98se.
Now, there is a "required DLL. file" error message everytime win98se boots up : C:\windows.000\system\crtdll.dll was not found.

My friend has problems all of a sudden with his Win98se Outlook Express6 mail program.
He can not 'send out' mail OR get into his address book. He recieves mail just fine. The pop3 settings haven't been changed and are correct.

Creative Sound Blaster website and emailing them is no help at all for support.

Has anyone experienced running Kingmax pc 3500 DDR memory in a MSI K7N2 delta L mobo ? It's a DDR 400mgz. board calling for pc3200 , I would imagine that running this pc 3500 wouldn't be a problem.............do tell.

Yes, it is the MSI K7N2-L , MS-6570-010 mobo but I believe it's an earlier model with no 'delta' or any other suffixes. It has the NVidia N-Force SPP chipset which I neglected to mention with the first post.
I don't feel it's the AMD 1800XP or the 256mb. PC2700 of Muskin ram that heeds it.

I have a MSI K7N2 mobo with the NVidia chipset. The AMD processer is a 1800XP, not o/c-ed.
Mushkin 256 DDR ram with heat spreader. I 've tried 2 other DDR ram also. ASUS 8x video card.
The problem is it seems to soooo loooong to boot up Win98se. Is this normal?
