My buddies computer says there is a system file that is missing or corupt. We tried Scandisk and there is no problem with hard drive so we reformatted and reloaded windows and there was the same problem. WE can't get past that screen. I'm relatively new at this, any help would be appreciatted...

I read previous posts, and they said it was a dying battery or something to do with me changing the bios. BUt I haven't really touched the bios other than setting the time and adjusting teh boot order. THe motherboard is an Abit kg-7 and i sbrand new.

I'm loading XP on a new computer and am getting checksum errors after the first bootup. I've tried reloading and it didn't work. What suggestions do you guys have. Thanks in adance.

I just bought a retail amd cpu and the heatsink/ fan that came with it does not fit onto the socket. Any suggestions? Should I buy a different heatsink and fan and if so what suggestions do you have. Thanks for any help.

What is the speed difference between ddr 1600 and 2100. And will boards accept both 1600 and 2100. Thanks for the help.
