For anyone who's interested, I ended up purchasing a Samsung 910T. I'm very happy with it. There is one stuck sub-pixel, but it's in a very unobtrusive location.
The response time is 25ms, but video looks smoother on it than it did on the new Sony XBrite 19" which claims a 12ms response time...
Does anybody have any ideas on how the folks selling 6-bit LCD panels are claiming 16.2 million colors? By my calculations, the most colors a 6-bit panel could display is 262,144. This is assuming they are still using only three sub-pixels per pixel.
I'm sure the marketing mathmagicians have...
