I have Win 98 and am going to upgrade to XP, but I don't have the Win 98 CD. Does that mean I need to upgrade to the full version of XP or can I still use the upgrade version? I do have the Win 98 CD copied to a folder on my HD, though. I don't know if that makes a difference or not.

I realized that on my last re-install of Windows 98, I forgot to partition the hard drive. Could this be the problem?

For some reason I cannot download or install anything correctly. No matter what it is...a program downloaded from the internet or a game installed from a CD, my computer tells me that some file during the installation is corrupt or there is a bad CRC. Absolutely nothing will install correctly...

In Win 98, when you right click the Start button, a little menu pops up that lets you select things such as Open, Explore, Find...etc. Is there any way you can remove some of the items on that menu? There are a bunch of other random things on it, such as options to Archive things using WinRAR...

What is the difference between a Pro and a GTS?

I'm looking at getting a GeForce 2 GTS 32 Mb. Anyone know if the cards made by Vision Tek, MSI, Leadtek, or Inno3D are any good? They are the cheapest, but I'm not sure that's a good thing since they might be crappy cards.

I would avoid the Voodoo5 since 3Dfx will no longer be supporting their products. No reason to buy a card that possibly won't have any updated drivers. I've never used a Radeon though, so I have no clue if it's any good.

What does it mean to RMA it? The card is no longer under warranty. Unfortunately I do not have a spare video card to test either.
