Thanks for the answers guys, but I was trying to compare more in line with ShitaiDK´s thoughts: not absolute performance of APUs in the future (nodes, TDP, etc.), but it´s relative performance in comparison with CPU+dGPU in gaming or GPGPU scenarios without the memory bottleneck.

If the memory bottleneck can be removed (with HBM, for instance), theoretically an APU can be faster than a similar dedicated GPU because the communication between CPU and GPU is better? Sorry for the non technical words.

I think the transition from 28nm to 20nm is a bit overrated and makes more sense in the economics (smaller die size) than in perf/watt. Don´t Nvidia just proved (with Maxwell) that a change in uarch can be as or more effective than a change to a smaller node (perf/watt wise)?

Am I wrong or Intel is admitting to have an inferior process than TSMC(on area scaling) at 20/22nm? And forecasting to be better at 16/14nm?

So, basically, there´s no special needs for a computer to run these kind of software? I can buy a FX8350 for US$ 255,00 or a i5-4570 for USS 286,00. What do you think?
