    Abit IP35-E Review (500MHz FSB board)...$90 @ NewEgg + $6.61 ship

I wired the 2 pin 120mm panaflow to the 3 pin old HT fan and pluged in to CPU header and seems to work ok. Also discovered that the GTX is too long to allow the middle upper accessory 120mm fan to fit in the Antec P182 case.

    Abit IP35-E Review (500MHz FSB board)...$90 @ NewEgg + $6.61 ship

Serpent, I've been modeling my build after your original setup and switched out the stock HT fan for a 2 pin 120mm medium speed panaflo but cannot get to any visible screeen. The fan does turn on twice briefly as if going through double post (11 BIOS). The panaflo runs fine off the SYS...

    Abit IP35-E Review (500MHz FSB board)...$90 @ NewEgg + $6.61 ship

Thanks for the great advice as usual. My GPU is too large to allow effective flow over NB so I'll mount a fan at the corner of the BT covering some RAM an NB.

    Abit IP35-E Review (500MHz FSB board)...$90 @ NewEgg + $6.61 ship

Finally put it all together. Running fine for about a week now. Noticed AbitEQ temps: CPU 29, SYS 32, PWM 40 at idle (Antec P182 with case fans on low) closed case CPU 19, SYS 32, PWM 36 at idle (Antec P182 with case fans on low) OPEN case I know these are ok but I plan to install...

    Abit IP35-E Review (500MHz FSB board)...$90 @ NewEgg + $6.61 ship

Looks like my copper heat pipes are 90 degrees off - a shame since it felt so good. Is cooling that much different? I'll check out the pics from hokiealumnus after work ("big brother" blocks photos). Appreciate the help. Also I'm not familiar with speedfan. Will it allow control of actual...

    Abit IP35-E Review (500MHz FSB board)...$90 @ NewEgg + $6.61 ship

Serpent: Another question re: BT mounting. I noticed in your first post: "I had to trim 1/4" from the Big Typhoon's top bracket to clear the northbridge heat sink". I had no difficulty mounting mine without trimmng (using p35-E and BT), so is it oriented wrong? I don't understand "heat...

DAC21, Probably a noob question but by future proof do you mean higher overal DDR@-800 clock speed potential, RAM stability/longevity or something else? Thanks

Serpent, Incredible job on all your work on the IP35-E! Thanks for steering me to my first overclocker. Purchased: IP35-E, Corsair 520, C2D 4500, Big Typhoon, Antec p182, 24" SOYO monitor Shopping for: 750 Ghz HD (too hot vs 500Ghz?), 2GB of memory (for my Win XP SP2, 32 bit), Samsung...

    Building for moderate overclocker

Thanks for all the great advice guys. After looking at several forums re: Gigabyte p35 motherboard and cooling, space issues with larger aftermarket coolers may be a problem for overclocking. Still trying to decide now between ASUS vs Abit boards. I'll look into Abit IP35 (and pro) since I...

    Building for moderate overclocker

Will try to reach 3.3 to 3.4G range on overclock. Hesitating on move up to GTX because of rumors of future X-10 games requiring significant upgrades to current graphics cards? I was on the fence re: Corsair 520 vs 620 - thanks for the push in the right direction Thanks again!
