When you updated the BIOS i bet your FSB went back to 100mhz, whereas it should and was 133. Go ahead and change it its completely safe, afterall thats what it was at before. Hope it fixes.

that sounds pretty terrible... i would firstly check power supply, although the way you put it, it's dead... Then mother board. Then if the molex'es you were using branched off check those devices. I would personally check each piece individually by testing in different system, before you start...

Howdy. You see, when I am booting my system it gets to my desktop, shows my wallpaper and then my taskbar shows up, but none of the desktop icons. And when I try to click through to something on my taskbar the system stutters and never gets that command across...but about a minute or two later...
