The best site that I can check for all the ads, including Fry's is SalesCircular.com It gives a pretty good list by catagory on all major computer parts and electronics. Check it out. It doesn't list Fry's ads all together, but it easy to check everyone at once. They don't cover networking...

I worked on a motherboard that would only allow the use of the first two sockets if it was 64 MB or higher and only using the same in both sockets, i.e., 64 - 1 62 - 2 or 128 - 1 128 -2. That could be the reason, check the manual and see if it says anything like that in the memory.

Maxtor also has MaxBlast software that is great for setting up the partitions and copying partitions onto a new drive. Get it at Maxtor's website. It will make a boot disk that is easy to follow the instructions for. The software is the same as IBM and WD make available to their customers.

I would get the Duron, so that you will have more money to upgrade past the 900 at a later time. Everytime that I stay on the inexpensive side, I always come out ahead when I upgrade and sell the older part. The only way that I would go for the max is if I was using AutoCAD or running NT Server.

I recommended this board to a friend and they are very happy with it. There is a non + board out there, so be careful when you order it, because pricewatch lists both.
