If my motherboard does not support ATA 100 will an ultra ATA 100 still function at the ata66 speed?

We got a Dell Inspiron with 14" screen. Really nice and it has both Joystick and pad.

When all else fails only run netbui. Delete other protocols. Also make sure file and print sharing are enabled. :cool:

Thanks for response, but I can't do anything now as the MB won't finish POST. Am returning it tomorrow.

I am returning this MB for the second time. When it boots up all seems fine until Windows does a restart because it identifies new components then on restart the MB fails. The first time all the LEDs stayed red. Sent MB back. This time I get past CPU initialization then the power dies as if...
