Before I had a Barton 3200+ running with my 9800 xt. Everything played smoothly. Now I've just recently upgraded to an AMD64 at 2.5 ghz. After a few hours of gameplay (Guild Wars), I start to see textures screwing up. I know its not the cpu, cuz this happens at stock cpu speeds too...
My power supply says it can run 17 amps for the 12V rail. I'm not running any sata drives, I have a 3 PATA's: 160 GB baracuda and 2 WD 80 GB SE hard drives hooked up.
Sorry, I have searched quite a bit, but nothing much on power needed for Athlon64's. I see most people having 450+ watt PS's. I have the HTT at 3x and have a 100 divider on the memory with loose settings in 2T. My main question lies in the Power Supply. Thanks.
