Hey all,

Before I had a Barton 3200+ running with my 9800 xt. Everything played smoothly. Now I've just recently upgraded to an AMD64 at 2.5 ghz. After a few hours of gameplay (Guild Wars), I start to see textures screwing up. I know its not the cpu, cuz this happens at stock cpu speeds too. I have an arctic silencer 3 with ram sinks applied to card. Can it be that the cpu is pushing the 9800 xt past its limits? I don't know how to fix this problem! Anyone please help. Thanks.

No, you cant push a card past it's limits, unless you overcklock it and it overheats. Maybe the cooler got loose when you reinstalled the card, or the motherboard has some issues with the card. Also, check the card's temperature after a long gaming session, overheating would definitely cause the display to screw up.

go into the control panel and check your 9800xt temperatures!
[it is a "real' 9800xt with the thermal diode, right?]

You might have messed something up with the upgrade [or you case is hotter].
