So is it my CPU overheating, or is there a different problem with my computer? Someone please help...... for my ear's sake!!!

I have an Athlon 1900XP, Antec 1040 case w/ 2 Sunon 80mm fans, Sound Blaster 5.1, 64MB Geforce 2, 512MB DDR, 40GB 7200, and Shuttle AK31A motherboard

I have a friend that likes the new Mac OS so much that he'd probably die for it. However, I prefer Windows. I was wondering if I could get opinions on these two operating systems.

The plot thickens.............. I was just finished burning two CD's. Right before the track was finished burning, the program stalled for a bit and that d@mn beep came on again. It went away though after the program got going again. I have 512MB DDR, so I don't know why it should be stalling...

should I consult the mobo users manual to check if those wires are crossed, or is there a way to test the system to see if that is what happened?

I'm pretty sure its a beep from the internal speaker, because when I installed a download off the internet I got the same noise. But it didn't carry on like when I install programs off a CD.

I have a 1900XP on a Shuttle AK31 mobo all in a Antec SX1040. I would like to know of an awesome fan and heatsink for the CPU cause the one I have isn't cooling enough. I was also thinking of getting two more case fans. Please help me out because I can't much without it overheating.
