Finally, I updated my 3140 with new POI of Timekeeper. So far working without a hitch.

I guess 6m POI = POI of 48States + Alaska + Hawaii + Canada + P.R. I think required and suggested memory are for the images not the POI. Image boundary is totally different in the two POIs- so I didn't uploaded it. Good thing about Maestro's is one can look into these files. As it is run on...

One strange thing I noticed today is my US48_POI.POI is 293 MB in 3140, which was only supposed to contain 4.5 million POIs. But the one with 6m POIs uploaded here by TimeKeeper is just 188 MB. May be it has to do with the way POI files are compressed in 3250 ( I think TimeKeeper got the file...

I checked the POIs. The POIs here (uploaded by Timekeeper is for NAVTEQ maps 1st Quarter 2007 - I found this when I read POI file in text editor). My 3140 has 3rd Quarter 2006 map data. So I guess it will probably not work in 3140. I didn't try - coz I was afraid it will screw up my nice little...

I will surely let you know when it arrives. I do hope it has enough memory space to upgrade it (I heard 3200 does not have enough space to upgrade). I am AAA member. One thing I like about Maestro 3140 is that I will have a total of 2 years warranty with my AAA membership. Thanks.

Will the poi work in 3140? I just ordered 3140 from amazon in 219!! For me, it was a bigger bargain than 199+40(S&H, tax etc) for 3225 at Costo. I hope I will be able to update the POI. Thanks
