ASUS A7V333 Athlon XP 2200+ difficulties...

I suppose the C.O.P. is working, but I still need to get this cooling thing under control. I'm very concerned about this now, as it's still having problems. Maybe I'm being stupid and am missing some very important step somehwere, as this shouldn't be happening. Sigh...

ASUS A7V333 Athlon XP 2200+ difficulties...

Hrm... I'll have to check to see if it's being obstructed by the cambox or not. It could very well be, now that you mention it. I've noticed on several accounts after having pulled off the block that only about half of the thermal paste has made marks on the waterblock. EDIT: Alright, having...

ASUS A7V333 Athlon XP 2200+ difficulties...

The 1011 BIOS works... kind of. It allows me to properly set the CPU speed, but on the downside has some major issues such as the RAID not working. So far 1009.001 seems to work fine, but if I experience more problems, I've already got the Lumberjack 1008 version of the BIOS ready on a floppy...

ASUS A7V333 Athlon XP 2200+ difficulties...

First things first, my psu is an Enermax 530w Whisper series, so there's no problem on that end of the spectrum. As for the inability to get the clock speed up, I updated to the 1009.001 beta BIOS revision, and that did the trick. Also, it no longer shuts down right after turning it on...

ASUS A7V333 Athlon XP 2200+ difficulties...

First off, the A7V333 is getting massively inaccurate temp readings off the on die temp monitor on the Thoroughbred core. It claims that the system is anywhere between 45C - 75C at idle while in the BIOS. My Koolance case puts it at 30C, which I beleive to be more accurate, as the brackets on...

    AMD 2000+ XP Temp

You know, I'm not sure what to make of the whole 2200+ deal. Honestly, mine is severely innacurate when displaying core temps. My Koolance says that it's at 30C, yet the mobo claims it's anywhere from 45C - 75C. The retention brackets on my Koolance CPU waterblock, however, are hardly warm...

    [HELP!] Koolance issues...

Yes it does. However, currently I'm only running an Athlon 1ghz (non T-bird), and so as such it's not actually reading from the internal diode on the processor. I will soon be upgrading to the XP 2200+ though.

    [HELP!] Koolance issues...

I recently bought a Koolance full tower from www.frozencpu.com. The manual clearly states that generally the motherboard will inaccurately read the temperature from the core to be anywhere between 10-15c higher than it is in actuality. Now, I'm having an issue where my motherboard (an ASUS...
