I am trying to build a new machine for my CG work, that needs a lot of cores, and ram
my idea is to start with one cpu and add another one later when I have money for it, here're the parts :
Supermicro X10DAX
xeon e5 v4 ( not sure which one yet ) depends on budget...
Yea, I read a bit about them, it's intel's property etc ...
I will try to find something in my budget, or just start with one good cpu and then add the other one later when I get enough money

Guys, has anybody have had an experience with a xeon es ?
Also, should I wait a few months more for a new socket ? I don't want to get a socket that is dying and won't be able to upgrade next years, unless the difference in performance is not substantial.
