Yes, the stores are on commission probably about $200 per new activation and probably $100-150 extra per family line added. Cingular does not care if the phone you will activate is brand new or a used one of your own. Therefore, the reason why some stores will give you a $150 check for not...

I think you will have the original 3 lines extended for another years contact with the new line you are adding. So it may or may not be worth it depending on how long you are into your original contract and what your Family Talk Plans is now (minutes + $9.99 per line?).

When/How did you get 1000 min for the $39.99 plan? I am only getting 600 minutes and 5000 N/W when I signed up last month. Isn't the 1000 minute the $49.99 plan?
