How loud are the fans on stock 670 cards?

By the way, is the Windforce inaudible at idle? what RPM does it idle at?

    Mid range

Nvidia wouldn't be able to deliver a midrange card with the current yields and TSMC wafer priority. It's scheduled for Q3 (july august) as far as I know... If you're a fan of XFX, they have a pretty good 7850 card with a 7870 pcb up, should be a good buy. As for nvidia, you'll either have to...

GTX 670 Vs HD 7970 At Max Overclocks

I wish I was french so I could read hardware.fr more. It seems like a really good site.

I know I'm late to the party...

Intel managed to gather all chips with defective iGPU and somehow sell those chips more expensive than the functional 2500k.

    Fanless PSUs

I didn't mean ambient as in room temperature, I meant that the decent fanless ones should handle 60c inside the PSU and still be able to output their max wattage. Perhaps poor wording on my part. I can't guarantee that if I buy say a hx 750/seasonic x-760 or any similar PSU with stopped idle...

    Fanless PSUs

My 460 GPU runs with an aftermarket heatsink (Alpenföhn Peter) and 2 500rpm fan with 5 db, so that the card doesn't make a noise even if you game full on. During stresstesting it stays around 80C which is fine for the card, as long as you don't go above midrange cards such as 7850/6850/560...

    Fanless PSUs

Seeing as they are higher priced than Seasonic 460FL with worse build quality, I don't think that'd be a good choice. I'll look at the pricing of the Aurum Xilenser when it is released here and then decide I guess. But this thread was more for a general inquiry of up and coming fanless PSUs, if...

    New here...Nvidia GTX question

yeah i also have a 460 with 1680x1050 resolutions, and it runs most games really smooth. Also overclocks like a beast. 460 is still the card that sells best if you ask the resellers.

Best Air CPU Cooler for IB Overclock

    what about the alpenföhn everest

    Fan recommendation

RPM is the speed it rotates (you probably know this), so the more rpm the louder. How much air it moves per rotation depends a lot on fan model and manufacturer. You want something that moves a lot of air, so CFM is probably the most important aspect to you. Blindly looking at airflow numbers...

    Fan recommendation

Maybe something like Scythe Slip Stream 1900? Moves a lot of air (110 cfm), cheap and even though there are a lot louder fans that move more air, they actually sound like a jetplane. I don't think you really want that...

    Fanless PSUs

Neither is sold in my country, superflower has bad presence in nordic countries. Either way, I don't think the wattage matter as much or are as different as you think. Sure if you want CF/SLI it might be better to go for superflower, but from what I've seen at reviews, 460 FL has no problems...

Is it OK to buy OCZ SSDs now?

Vertex 4 uses the best marvell controller to date, I don't agree with rather a Crucial, if they'd share prices. One thing that OCZ are great at is being competitive with prices and budget models, for example here in Sweden you can get a 256gb Octane or Vertex 3 LE for under 2000 SEK and the...

    Fanless PSUs

I somehow forgot about that 500w Super Flower Platinum PSU since it isn't sold in my country. Is it better than the 460-FL to the point that it's worth importing? I think it was recently mentioned in an article here that Super Flower skips some safety regulations (not the exact phrase) in order...

    Fanless PSUs

What's so bad about it? I don't see the point of having fans on a PSU with high efficiency (many low watt Platinum or Titanium for example) as they will not produce enough heat to require fans. Fans are generally noisy, especially at higher loads, even if it's a Sanyo Denki (24db is clearly...
