I forgot to mention that they arent hardcore gamers so ghosting and trailing arent critical in a monitor.

Have you tried a different monitor on the computer? It is most likley the monitor or one of its connecting components, like a cable. Do you hear any high pitched noise from the monitor when it is green , also what kind of monitor is it?

Ah yes the dreaded "I have no freaking clue why its not working" problem. I have encountered this before. I found that the motherboard was not seated in the case properly. I got no beepes or anything,just the noise of fans spinning and my drawer opening and pulling out a hammer. But...
