if the above doesn't work. try hard reset the router. Dlink has this feature and it can reset back to default password. I'm not sure if Linksys does the same. good luck

go to admin tools computer management, disk management and see what it is, maybe the ntfs is corrupted. not sure if u can still fix it, and if you dont have anything in there, reformat as ntfs again good luck

has this drive ever worked before? if it doesnt work in dos, then sounds like the drive is broken somewhat, since xp can still see it in device manager but it doesnt show up in my computer. see if you have another ide cable and double check all the connections, and bios setup again good luck
