    gigabyte GA-K8NF-9 help (nforce4)

In addition to changing timings, make sure you have the 2T command set to Disabled. With this set at auto, I had ~4900, but when I set it to disabled, it jumped up to ~5980.

Gigabyte K8NF nForce4 issue with ps2 keyboard in XP

I have the K8NF-9 that came with BIOS F1 installed. I used an old generic keyboard and mouse from a retired Dell computer and it worked fine right from the start using the PS2 inputs. I later switched to a logitech wireless keyboard and mouse combo also using the PS2 inputs and they worked...

comments suggestings on the Gigabyte GA-K8NF-9 motherboard

I'm doing all my overclocking in the BIOS. After getting into the BIOS screen, press <CTRL><F1> to get the advanced options. Then you can change HTT mulitplier, memory divider setting, and RAM timings. I was not able to run easytune either. I ran Ntune's "auto-tune" and it didn't seem to...

    Gigabyte GA-K8NF-9 Nforce4 Bios version F2 out

I just downloaded Bios version F2 from Gigabyte's website, though I am reluctant to flash it since my system is running decent right now and it is listed as "PVT only" and I don't know what this means. I could not find any release notes on the website about F2. Anyone know anything about this...

Yes. In addition to the 20/24 pin connector you need to use the square 4 Pin ATX_12V connector.

comments suggestings on the Gigabyte GA-K8NF-9 motherboard

I have this board - there is a 4 pin "dummy" plug at one end of the 24pin socket so you can use a 20 pin connector and leave the plug there or remove the plug and use a 24 pin. I'm using it with a 20 pin PSU and it is working fine. I am currently running it with a 3000+ at 266FSB (2.4Ghz) but...

    Overclocking Gigabyte K8NF-9

In my experimenting, it seems as though HTT is not locked at 4X. When I cranked up FSB to 280 with mem clock set at 133 and HTT at 4x my system would not boot. However, when I lowered HTT to 3X it booted and ran 3DMark03 fine, however, I failed Prime95 after a little over an hour. This was...

Help running Ntune with Nforce4 board

Is anyone successfully running Ntune with an Nforce4 board? I have a Gigabyte GA-K8NF-9 (Nforce4-4x) and I tried installing the latest version of Ntune from Nvidia's web site but upon installation I get the message no Nforce2 or Nforce3 motherboard detected, and the installation aborts.

    Overclocking Gigabyte K8NF-9

Ok - It definetly wasn't liking the FSB/DRAM ratio of 9 that I originally still had. I changed to your identical settings and I was able to boot with FSB set at 260 in BIOS using the FSB/DRAM ratio of 11. CPU-Z confirmed my numbers being identical to yours. However, it failed Prime95 after 51...

    Overclocking Gigabyte K8NF-9

decided I didn't want to wait any longer for a Nforce4 Ultra so I pulled the trigger on the K8NF-9 Nforce vanilla when Newegg had them. I have my system up and running now, and I realize this board may not be the best overclocker, but I want to see what I can actually squeeze out of it. Here is...
