Thank you for the response. I appreciate it. I just purchased a UBC hub with an HDMI adapter on it and it is working fine. However, if it begins acting problematic I will try the DP cable solution next.

The other monitor seemed to work fine for a bit, but the same problem started again but not to the extent it was happening before. I ended up purchasing a USB-C hub with an HDMI adapter. It came in the mail last night, and so far, it seems to be working well.
