weird, i put in old hard drive from another computer and now it works just fine. thanks for the help.

i just flashed the bios it said it worked and im still having the same problems. and im also having trouble getting to windows now. even if theres no cd in the drive it will still try to boot from it(even when i completely take it off of the boot order) and it will just freeze up at that point...
