check the dma say apply then enter HD properties again if the check is gone check it again and voila it stay's there (had the same issue)

check in your bios if in the standard cmos your ide channel is not set as cd-rom set it on none some mainboards have this prob. i had it myself. sorry for the typo's but i am just a poor dutch guy

witch kind of cpu is this is this the new coppermine or the old one if it is a coppermine you need the latest SB live drivers also 3.x because of a incompatability with the coppermine cpu with the via drivers you have that is if you get a BSOD for the UMU10K i thougt. sorry for the typos...

did you try to install them on different IDE channels

My Nic's did not share an IRQ but that can be a prob. are you using a router or routing software for sharing the internet if you are using wingate the nat function is not always working properly in some configs. sorry for the typo's but i am only a poor dutch guy

I had a simular problem and it was a network conflict try to take one nic out if the system and play the games you want if it doesn't lockup try moving the nic's to another slot.
