    Methods for removing thermal pads

Hydrogen peroxide, I'll keep that in mind. I would imagine the lapping did improve the ability for the heatsink to contact with the CPU core, I wasn't expecting such a drop in temperature. Thanks for the tips. -Matt

    Methods for removing thermal pads

Holy ****! That's awesome. I want to install that new TT SubZero 4G cooler when it comes out, that and a nice splotch of AS3, oh yeah. I can see it now, OC heaven.

AMD Athlon XP 2000+ Maximum Speed

Yes that would make sense I suppose. The 1015 BIOS revision took that limit up though to at least 2600+ CPU and/or 333mhz BUS CPUs which are the 2700 and 2800 - so its an inaccurate reading, and its either getting it from a different part of the BIOS or something more mysterious. Which case would you choose?

Try the Antec Performance Pro SX1080 AMG. You can find it for about $130 with a 430W TruePower PS which is quite possibly the quietest thing in my entire system. Airflow is excellent in my opinion with the option for 5 x 80MM case fans. Temperatures: AMD Athlon XP 2000+ / Idle / Stock HSF with...

    Methods for removing thermal pads

Can anyone clue me in on the appropriate methods for removing a thermal pad from a heatsink and the resulting goo on the processor from previous usage? I had to pretty much use 220 sandpaper to scrape it off, clean it with 91% alcohol, and then apply Arctic Silver 3. Right now I am running an XP...
