I saw this deal while scouting for my recent graphics card purchase (6670). I liked the deal until I heard about the jet sound. I am a fan of the Jets (Tebow), but I don't think they would fit in my tiny carpeted room. ;)
Here is what I did.
I bought an Antec VP-450 for 34.98 (free shipping). http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004IZN3K2
At the same time I got the GIGABYTE Radeon HD 6670 1GB DDR3 for $69.99 (free shipping). There is a $20 rebate as well. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005MED9X4
I can get a Sapphire 6670 1gb DDR3 with Dirt 3 for $64.99 (before $10.00 rebate). $6.98 shipping.
Or
I can get a Gigabyte 6670 1gb DDR3 with no game for $69.99 (before $20.00 rebate). Free shipping.
Is one better than the other? Dirt 3 would be a nice add-on, but I don't really need it.
Here is what happened.
I had a dell laptop that had that card in it. I was able to play NBA2k12, mlb2k11, and civ 4 on it while the laptop was hooked up to that monitor.
The laptop's motherboard crashed, i think, and I am left with an awesome monitor with no pc. Thankfully the hard drive was ok!
I will be upgrading the power supply eventually, by the time that happens I might be able to afford a higher priced card. Neither one will be happening yet.
What do yal think of the computer itself? It is the one I posted about a few months ago...
Hi folks! I would really like some input into a gpu that would work well for what I have just bought.
System Specifications:
I. Processor/CPU: i3-2120
II. Current Graphics Card: Normal i3 specs
III. Display Resolution: 1900*1200
IV. Power Supply Unit Specification (Brand, Wattage...
Hey folks!
Over on Lenovo's outlet they have their K300b Towers on sale. http://outlet.lenovo.com/desktops.html?cpu_speed=38&memory_capacity=103
These puppies have a power switch designed for gaming. Now I am wondering if the PSU is upgradable and if so, is there a certain type I would have...
I thank you for the review piasabird!
I am still leaning towards Lenovo despite your warning about the power supply, since I will be replacing the power supply and adding a video card. I have no need for a monitor so that is not a problem.
I currently own a Dell Laptop and am pleased with it...
Hey gurus!
I am wondering if you know of any other Manufacture outlets? Here are the ones I know about.
Dell
HP
Lenovo
I am leaning towards buying from the Lenovo outlet. What do you guys think about Lenovo computers?
WOW! I really did get left in the dust. I bought an Acer computer a few years ago and bought a graphics card later on, not knowing I needed to upgrade the power supply. I sold it to one of the guys in church. The graphics card burnt, literally, a few weeks later. I felt bad for him. Thankfully I...
Thanks! That does help a little!
The build I mentioned is from the Dell outlet.
I am noticing something listed on the Newegg power supplies.
PCI-Express Connector:
What exactly does this mean and do most modern express cards need to be connected directly to the power supply rather than...
