my laptop has been acting really strangely since the last xp update. i cannot say that it was the updates that did this but i can say that i did no install anything that would have casued this to happen. when i right click on the desktop or a blank area the right click will hang for about 30...

i am having a similar problem. my system hangs when i right click on a blank area on the desktop or any blank area for that matter. it does not happen when i right click on files, just blank areas so far. i think it started happening after a damn windows update, i dont kno which one though...
