my laptop has been acting really strangely since the last xp update. i cannot say that it was the updates that did this but i can say that i did no install anything that would have casued this to happen.
when i right click on the desktop or a blank area the right click will hang for about 30 seconds the weird thing is after it is done hanging and i get my right click options i'll click 'refresh' and i'm able to pull off about then more right clicks perfectly fine before it starts to hang again from right clicking. i do not want to format, i have recently done a defragment and check disc several times, i've done all i could in my msconfig, i've also tried to use "tweak power pack 2006" i've searched far and wide for this problem and cannot find and answer, somebody please help. here's my hijackthis.log:

it also hangs when i click "FILE" (from the menu window not the right click) to create a new folder or anything new. oh yeah, btw the right click never hangs when i right click on a file only on blank areas in a window and blank areas on the desktop and now (newly discovered) it also hangs from clicking "FILE" from the menu containing "File, Edit, View, Favorates, Tools, Help" i hope this has given someone out there a better view of my problem.
