no overclocking, not sure if i have the latest bios, my mobo is discontinued, where can i check to see what version of the bios is on my mobo now?

not overheating, I'm formatting cu I had so much garbage on my computer. starting to thing its the HD or Ram I got from newegg. computer boots fine and formatting and copying setup files takes forever. after setup files are copied over and computer reboots to xp logo screen the status indicator...

i reforamatted my HD and during the windows installation, after the first reboot when it shows the windows XP logo it hangs for a little then the computer shuts off.....any ideas? thanks

problem was my driver jumpers werent sitting correctly, i had my main drive on ide2 master, switched it around and VOILA! =) thanks for answering anyway....

so i moved all my necessary files from my C drive to D, now trying to do a clean install, but everytime i try even after formatting the drive to NTFS, windows says something like "the format of this drive is not recognize, but format to either FAT32 or NTFS so that windows can recognize it" all...

ok maybe i just need a clean format, another question ive been having for a while, i get this little triangular yellow ! mark in my systray saying "write failed" once in a while, then all the sudden my F drive will dissapear all together until i reboot a few times, whats that all about?

well, give me some ways of testing, at boot, it seems slower, and when i try to play dvd's, mpg's avi or anything of that sorts, everything starts to get really choppy...thanks for your help btw... actually i just noticed something, after a few minutes of watching a movie or something it...
