Motorola T720 - Verizon
I used to have a Kyocera 3035 (total hunk of crap). The thing died on me, VZ wanted like $300 for a new POS phone (I was still under contract). I bought the T720 off eBay NIB for like $180.
They were making costly mistakes 15 years ago when I used to work in that business (at a real shop), and I am quite certain they are still doing the same. Realistically, most dealer service departments offer quick-change lube service now. If you don't want to do it yourself, take it there...
I'm trying to find a solution to a problem. My brother has a Gateway Destination system. What this is is a digital theatre PC that Gateway used to sell. It is basically a regular PC that has a 36" monitor (that looks like a TV) attached to it.

I've got a Gateway Solo 450X laptop. I've got a D-Link PCMCIA wireless card installed. I need to add USB 2.0 connectivity, but all of the USB 2.0 PCMCIA cards I have seen obstruct the other PCMCIA slot. There is no way I can have both my wireless card and a USB 2.0 card installed at the same...
Outsourcing = having another company make stuff for you, put your name on it, and sell it as your own
I'll cut and paste the press release.

I haven't seen this really being reported anywhere yet, but I have it from a good source that Gateway is going to be outsourcing all their PC hardware and will no longer custom build. They are closing their plant in Hampton, VA in 30 days I am told. They are already outsourcing notebook...
