No you will not hurt anything. The only thing that causes damage is adding more voltage. You will however generate more heat, but since you have a decent cooler than you are fine. The asus automatic overclock option will automatically lock your agp/pci and ide bus so that they won't be damaged...

You are actually building computers for people??? Man I am glad I am not one of your customers. Sorry if it sounds kind of harsh but it doesn't really seem like you know what your doing. Never build another system without the proper motherboard standoffs! They will indeed short out and be dead...
