Ehternet is a TRENDnet TEG-PCITXR 10/ 100/ 1000/ 2000Mbps PCI Copper Gigabit Network Adapter RAM passed the memory test when I built this back in April, but haven't run the test lately. Will try the pumpkin installer and see what happens. Thanks for the help!

Got my hack up and running for a few weeks on 10.6.1 based on the Lifehacker install. Hack is a UD3P, Q9550, 9800GTX+ and everything seems to be running fine....except that I can't install Little Snitch ver 2.2 without it breaking my boot up. I keep getting the "computer must be restarted"...

Little Snitch is good stuff and worth every penny. Haven't found a replacement yet.

Hey Kaido! I must have screwed something up in the original install....maybe not checking the EFI Ethernet string box, but it's working now. I ended up re-rerunning UInstaller..... Thanks much for your help!

Okay, enabled onboard networks, but no luck. The same error messages show up.

Yup, I disabled the onboard ethernet in BIOS. I'll try re-enabling them this afternoon and see what happens. Thanks!

On a related note, Time Machine cannot find the network interface so it won't work. Looks like I have a network issue. Funny that internet and file sharing seem to work fine.

Unfortunately I tried that about 4 times and kept getting the same error.

I'm having trouble installing Missing Sync for Blackberry or Palm on my Hack. Error message is "This software cannot be installed on this computer" or something about not having a valid network address. I tried deleting the NetworkPreferences plist as instructed by the Mark Space help, but...

I got my Hack running yesterday. It went pretty fast and was straightforward with no real glitches. Thanks to Zaap, Mosslack, Kaido and Weaksauce for taking the time and sharing your knowledge! Now, I just gotta go and buy Parallels.
