i've been away from linux for quite some time, never got deep enought into it though, but i do remember getting opengl w/gf2 was easy as heck... good to hear you can run linux desktops with the ati's too...now i can get the exact system i want and be sure that i'll be able to run the xp/redhat...

title says it: has anyone here had any success with linux, xfree86 and the ati7500 mobiles? in particular im getting a cheap dell book soon, and the 4150 doesn't come with a choice for nvidia subsystem (a proven linux performer), thus my ati question thx in advance to anyone who knows
