Thanks madscientist, I used Core Temp. It says 38 and 39C for each cores whereas abit EQ says 43C at idle. If it's not typical idle temp, what should I do first?

I have IDE DVD drive and HDD, and considering abit IP35-E. Some of reviewers complained that the board and IDE drive can not be used for OS installation as the board does not recognize IDE initially. It seems odd to me. Can you please confirm it? Do I need to buy SATA DVD drive for the board?
