I have this really annoying spyware (maybe you'd call it a virus) which redirects me to an advertisement everytime I click a link in a search result. It does this with google, yahoo, and msn, but not ask.com. If I make a search and click a resulting link, I have to wait for the redirect to the...
I'm able to change the resolution on the TV with both the 9800 pro and the Geforce. I can stretch the image with the 9800 pro, but I haven't been able to do so with the Geforce. It's definitly better now that I can change it to 640x480 with the new drivers, but with the black bars on all...
It's a Dell computer so originally I didn't think I could use anything but the drivers provided by dell, as is often the case. But I tried the newest drivers from nvidia: ForceWare 81.98. I was able to change the resolution to 640x480, which does help, but it needs to be stretched in all...
I'm trying to use my television as the monitor for my computer. I have it connected with an svideo cable to the graphics card. Everything looks great, only problem is that it's not quite full screen. There are black bars on the left and right and the image is stretched vertically a bit...
Right now I have a couple TV tuner cards in my computer running a tivo like application called GBPVR (which is awesome by the way). My computer is hooked up to my TV with a s-video cable from the video card and a stereo cable from the sound card. I use a remote control connected to my tuner...
When I go to format it in Windows it says it's only 127 gigs. I've given up and gone ahead with a full reformat with XP sp2, it needed it anyway. Ah well. Thanks for the replies guys.
Is it possible to format a HD larger than 127 GB on XP without SP1? If not, can I make 2 partitions of 125 each (its 250 gig), and how? The service packs really bog down my computer. Thanks for any help!
I recently installed some memory on my Dad's laptop, but in system properties it still displays the original 256 MB of ram. I was quite sure that you just stick it in there and you're set, so I guess the only options are that it's not in correctly or it's broken. Is that right?
Nah I guess not. Everything works (except the new HD for now) and I just didn't want to have to make any major changes if I didn't have to. But it's no biggie. Thanks everyone, I think I may be just about good to go.
