Is anyone able to comment about my question regarding the possibility of the bios giving the wrong numbers ? As I said I have had no stability problem which is what's making me think the problem is instead with the bios as any processor running at 85 will probably crash or simply shutdown...
Your problem is not with the motherboard but with your OS.
If you switch motherboards XP will not boot - it will simply cycle boot after welcome screen.
What you need to do is to use your XP boot disk to repair/install XP again on yer partition if you don't want to loose any data...
My prescott 540 CPU idles at 63 and full loads at 82 !
I cab play doom3 as long as I want with no issues.. but I am worried.
Now is it the bios that's just wrong (like so many other MSI boards) or is it REAL ?
Anyone with the above board and with a correct temp reading ?
