If you used paste on top of the thermal pad, you've got too much. Take the heatsink off, clean CPU and heatsink with alcohol, reapply thermal paste and reinstall.

I've got pretty much the same system, but I'm using a Scythe Infinity cooler, and I'm confused about temps too. Idle Temps: BIOS/Easy Tune are the same: 23C CPU and 44 System Seems low to me, but possible I suppose. I'm also not sure why the system and CPU temps are so different...

heh.. me too. I've got E6750, Scythe Infinity, Antec P180, HX520, 2x1GB G.Skill F2-6400PHU2-2GBHZ coming. I can't wait.

Drop down in rated wattage, and get a name brand PSU. 400W should be plenty. A good 350W would probably do just fine as well.

Intel is really pushing the 1333MHz FSB CPUs. The only negatives are that they may not be compatible with some motherboards, and the lower multiplier may be a negative for overclocking. At this point, there is really no reason to not get an E6x50 CPU. They're faster for the money.
