I have tried a defrag in the past however, it usually doesn't help much. Surely resetting back to the factory OS install should then not requre a defrag? This issue is something I have noticed often with mechanical drives even with laptops that are not used heavily.

'seepy83' what I meant by centrally managed disk space is where the amount of disk quota is managed by the system administrator and the user does not store their data locally but on a server somewhere.
