RDP into Server 2003 - No session printers unless PC is joined to the domain

Well, we have not had success with every printer that we have tried yet, but on some, simply sharing the printer and making sure that the permissions were set to allow the remote server to access the printers fixed the problem. The were setup as session printers, without sharing them, if the...

RDP into Server 2003 - No session printers unless PC is joined to the domain

OK. Thank you very much for your time. Do you think it is a setting that is different on the servers you are connecting to than the server that I am connecting to?

That is correct. The clients are Windows XP SP2.

RDP into Server 2003 - No session printers unless PC is joined to the domain

Yes, all of the options in the "client devices" section of the Environment tab of the user's properties are checked.

RDP into Server 2003 - No session printers unless PC is joined to the domain

Correct. Everything is set correctly in the user's properties for the session printers to be created and it works fine if the PC that the user connects from is connected to the domain. If that same user, that just got a session printer, when connecting from a PC that is joined to the domain...

RDP into Server 2003 - No session printers unless PC is joined to the domain

And your local printers become session printers for you on the 2003 servers? I have tried this with several different 2003 servers at totally different customers, all with default "out of the box" Microsoft settings (at least as far as I know) and I have never gotten my local printers to be...

RDP into Server 2003 - No session printers unless PC is joined to the domain

When I RDP into computers running Server 2003 (Domain controllers and member servers) using a computer that is NOT joined to the domain that the server is part of, none of my local printers show up as session printers. After I have joined my PC to the domain that the Server 2003 computer is...

    Promise Ultra 100 TX2+Linux+Newbie

Hi all, I have been interested in Linux for years and am starting my first project. I am attempting to get Linux, really any flavor that I can run a web server off of (preferably Apache?), running on a Pentium Pro 200 machine that I inherited. I wasn't sure where to start, but after reading...

What Linux can I run, if any?

I just inherited some old hardware and I would like to run linux on it. In fact, I would like to host a website and have a mail server on it. I would also like it to communicate with my Windows XP Pro machine. The PC that I inherited is a dual Pentium Pro 200 256k with 192MB RAM. I will be...

    K7S5A Screwhole heatsink that fits?

After having no luck finding a good and fairly inexpensive screw-in heatsink that works with the K7S5A Rev 3.1, I took Peter's advice and went with the Taisol CGK760092 bundled with a 21.9CFM 32dBA fan. This system is a 1.4 T-bird and is not overclocked. This will probably be fine. Thank you...

    K7S5A Screwhole heatsink that fits?

Ok, I understand that I have that option, but are there any screwhole heatsinks that fit the K7S5A Rev 3.1?

    K7S5A Screwhole heatsink that fits?

    Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

    K7S5A Screwhole heatsink that fits?

No, I did not break all 6, just 1. I know that I could go with a Taisol or some other heatsink that uses all 6, but I would prefer to avoid them alltogether.

    K7S5A Screwhole heatsink that fits?

I am working with an ECS K7S5A Rev 3.1. The notches around the CPU socket on the motherboard broke off and I need to replace the heatsink. I am ok with spending the money necessary for a screwhole type heatsink, but I need to find one that will fit this motherboard. I was hoping to use the...

    Intel's IOMETER Problems, please help!

Well, it would appear that I screwed up. I didn't know that IOMETER should not be loaded on the drive that it is analyzing. That is what I did. Now I have a 12GB C partition with 5MB free on all 3 PCs. If anyone knows of an alternative to formatting the PCs, please let me know. I will wait...
