Ok... Well, I have tried Battlefield 2, World in Conflict, and Fear and noticed no problems in any of them. I need to try Photoshop and that should do it. Is it even worth tightening the memory timings?
So should I run it at current settings first? Again, I currently have my fsb @ 475. My Vcore is 1.4525. I am running large fft's now. I will run this for a few hours then tighten memory timings and run memtest. If all is well, I will call it a day and deliver the pc to my brother-in-law...
SerpentRoyal,
why do i need to bump VTT, NB, and SB up one notch with FSB above 450MHz? I currently have my vCore at 1.4525 and my fsb at 475. Memory timings are relaxed and core temps are staying below 60C under load. In the bios, there was only one other option for VTT (maybe like .0325...
I have the following bios settings
fsb @ 488
core voltage @ 1.492
ddr2 voltage @ 2.1v (corsair xms2 ddr2-800 4-4-4-12 dhx)
mem timings @ 5-5-5-15 locked in 1:1
8800gts @ 621/1002
thats all I have set. This ran for 8hrs 18min before a Prime95 failure on core0. It is probably safe to...
Sorry, I was a page behind. Anyway, it looks like after the stress test ran overnight, my temps have dropped. My idle temps yesterday were around 33C, today they are around 26C... my load temps down from 63C to 56C. Could this be the AS-5 just getting "broke in" or a reporting error?
I just got it an noticed my stress test failed on core0 after 8hrs 18min. Should/Could I bump up another voltage (other than vCore) to stabilize or do I need to back off my fsb?
BTW, I appreciate the help and this forum. This is my first rig to OC. I am building it for my brother-in-law as...
watching abit EQ i notice occasional "spikes" in VTT and MCH voltages. for instance I just watched the vtt jump from 1.2v to 1.4v for about 2 seconds.
Is this just a glitch or something to be worried about?
I would like some advice. I am using the Abit IP35-e with an e6750. It is cooled with a Scythe SCINF-1000. I am using 2 1gb sticks of Corsair XMS2 DHX (4-4-4-12). This is in an Antec 900 chassis. So far I have pushed my ram timings back to 5-5-5-15; the fsb pushed to 488 with the Vcore set...
