How do you connect to the Internet? Dial up or through a LAN(Cable,DSL etc)?
If it is a LAN go to tools>Internet Options>Connections and click on the LAN settings button...
see if it is set up to conect to a proxy server...My daughters computer did that with ad subtract. Wouldn't go anywhere...
