Thanks for the help, I had thought the only resolutions supported were the ones that came up when I clicked on my nvidia icon, glad to know my card works, saves me a lot of money. For anyone else looking to figure out the same thing there is a knowledgebase article at...
Can anyone tell me if there are any PCI express cards that support WSXGA resolution? I am considering Dell's 20.1 inch wide aspect flat screen monitor, and my current card - based on the Nvidia Geforce 6600GT does not support this resolution. Dell's website only lists AGP 8X cards for...
I already have a desktop with a 160 GB drive partitioned into several drive labels that I want to be able to back up. I understand that an external hard drive is one of the easiest ways of doing this. I will also soon be aquiring a laptop with a 40 - 60 gb hard drive that I will also want to...
I gave up waiting for this board when the MSI Nforce4 Ultra appeared at Newegg - I've had my new computer set up for about 2 weeks now w/ no problems whatsoever. I am very happy with the MSI board, hopefully for those set on the Asus the "next couple weeks" comes quickly...
I just put my computer together this weekend with the K8N Neo4 Platinum. It does have the 24 pin connector, but works fine with a 20 pin supply. I am using a 380 watt supply that came with my Antec Sonata.
I saw the MSI board listed on Newegg this morning too. I heard from Gigabyte as well that their Ultra board started shipping the week before last and should be hitting the retail channel in this US this week or next. A couple of the online retailers in the UK show the gigabyte board as in...
From what I have seen the gigabyte Nforce 4 Ultra board is out in limited quantities. At least one retiler in the UK said they had it in stock. I am thinking that I will go with the gigabyte board, yes, it has a heatsink fan, but I feel I can trust it more than the chaintech. If it doesn't...
I tried emailing ASUS's technical support as well, and did not get much more informantion. Their response was:
"The first nForce 4 board is now available. It is listed as the A8N-SLI,
the A8N-E will not likely be out for a while. Thanks."
Who knows what "a while" could mean... I have begun...
I have been waiting for this board for a while, with expected availability first in late november, then late December, and now rumors of January. Lately I found the listing for it on DTT computer stating that it was discontinued. See http://www.dttcomputer.com/cat..._id_MB-AS-A8N-E-P.html...
I have been waiting for the Asus A8N-E premium, there was a thread about it here around October, with expected availability in late december, but I haven't found any new information about it since then. Does anyone have any info on this or other nforce4 ultra boards?
