Do you already have a PSU? If not the Antec Sonata could be a nice deal since it comes with a 380W Truepower psu. Sonata should be quit silent as well. If you have a big budget you might wanna concider the Lian Li V1000. ( http://www.bridgeview.com/aluminum/mid/pcv1000.html ) Lots of space...

indeed, radmin has been the best i have used so far. takes little from your networkbandwith and cpu

I think watercooling is only necesarry for people that want to achieve high overclock speeds and/or have a very silent case. Anyway, what hardware are you going to fit in?

What you can do is try to find the right sensors for the temps and voltages. You can change the sensors in Settings->Voltages or Settings->Temperatures. Just change the sensors and see if you're in luck and you see any readouts. I'm not sure if MBM5 will work with Dell mobo's tho...

Do you have a spare motherboard to try your cpu on? It might be the cpu that's the cause. And what are your system specs?

I owned a Presario 5000 series as well. Basicly they're crap. That's what I found out when I built my own computers. As for 'your' problems, could the freezes be a heatproblem (i.e. computer full of dust)? Good luck anyway, you'll need it ;)

I notice a (very) big difference in my performance when I play with headphones (Koss UR-30) rather than speakers (Creative i-Trigue). With my headphones I can almost hear every footstep, weaponchange or reload nearby in Call of Duty. Plus rest of the house doesn't get to hear all the explosions...

My first computer was a Mac. A Performa 5300, carried a huge (for those days) 1.2 GB harddisk and a 100Mhz cpu. Great thing, only thing is that the screen burned in playing Warcraft, so had to loose the thing for about 2 weeks :'(. But soon I found out that Mac OS isn't the platform for gamers...
