Rockband 2 the 360 PS3 and downloadable content

I was wondering in your opinion which system should I get for Rockband 2? The PS3 or the 360, specifically when we're talking about the downloadable content policy for each company Sony vs. Microsoft. I can easily see myself spending a large sum of money on individual songs for this game, and I...

Yet another recommed a laptop thread

TheStu's right. I'd recommend getting a system with XP, and not Fista if possible though. I've had mixed experiences with Vista, and reliability. XP seems to have most of the kinks worked out by now. You should check the deal threads on anantech, also check out the deal sites around the web as...

Need some advice. What's the lightest 15.4" notebook?

Hi I'm looking for the lightest 15.4" laptop available, does any one know if there are any lighter than the MacBook Pro weighing in @ 5.4lbs? Is there any particular reason why there are no 15" laptops under 5lbs.? Thanks, -manno

    X1950XT 256MB for $166.12 on Newegg

If $100 is your price-point then don't bother getting it now, because A. they will be around for a long time, and as you said will only get cheaper. and B. By the time it hit's $100 there will be a similar performing card that consumes a lot less power, is a lot quieter, and will probably...

Internal flash memory card reader with a SATA interface

The problem is that USB2.0 on a good day with clear skys, and the wind blowing in the right direction is maxed out at 400Mb/s not 400MB/s. It would only deliver 400/8 MB/s == 50 MB/s that's why I want to go with SATA. And again I'm also concerned with the of read/write cycle lifetime flash...

Internal flash memory card reader with a SATA interface

Matthias, yeah I'm not going to use it for the swap file. I've seen benches on ram based swap-files, and it turned out you were just as well off putting more ram in rather than going through the trouble of making a RAM-Drive. I plan on RAID 0'ing 4 of them, and putting BF2(the game) on there...

Opteron Blowout!!!...Dang it just got chilly in here!

If you overclock, or if you don't overclock chances are your 4200 will perform just as well if not a little better than the opteron 170 in almost all apps. If it were my $180 I would have bought the 4200 too.

How would you guys improve this website?

Hey, man that's some harsh criticism. And I hate to say it but I kind of have to agree with them to some degree. I can't give you any specifics, but I can say the best advice I've seen posted here was the advice of screw3d regarding fonts (She just taught me something too!). I'm also not a fan...
