Are you kidding me NO VISIABL DIFFERENCE between 1080P and 1080i? 2 1080p tvs, one on hd-dvd 1080i and one on blu ray 1080p and you think there is no difference? What ever you say but there is the 1080i definitly not as clear.
Its 1080i 720p are the same tv just interlaced scan. A tv that is 720p/1080i is roughly 1366X768 a 1080p tv is 1900X1080p So what are you trying to say.

The progressive scan is what makes it look clearer and what im stating is that as much as you think there is no difference between 1080i and 1080p i personally think there is a difference

NO!!! if you look on the back of the DVD case HD-DVD says 1080i...Blu ray says 1080P!!! I have cases at work. THERE IS A DIFFERENCE IN PICTURE QUALITY but for someone like you that doesnt stare at them all day would never see it
but probably over all there are more blu ray player sold in the first place because they are clearer. I stare at them all day you can see pixilation is 1080i where its crisp in 1080p
