Did you try setting your SMC router/ap to a different channel? Are you on the latest firmware? I don't think you'd suffer a performance hit if you mix .b and .g wireless adapters, but don't quote me on that. It would be interesting to see someone test this theory.

Another advantage w/ usb (granted it's on a cord) is that you can position it to improve your signal reception.

Does anyone know of a wireless adapter that supports WOL? I've checked out Dlink, Linksys, Netgear and Belkin but can't find anything. Also Googled it but can't find anything either.
