Ok, well I've been messing with this whole friggin' thing and found out that this only occurs in OpenGL mode. I'm pretty sure it does NOT occur in Direct3D. (It doesn't have that same tearing and then crash.) Now, even stranger, it *seems* to only occur in the Half-Life engine. I haven't done...

I've been trying to fix this forever: What happens is, these artifacts or slicing of the game (TFC, CS) or SOMETHING I cannot describe beyond that, flash up during my game. Sometimes causing my games to freeze.
I know you can get 'artifacts' from an overclocked vid-card... but mine's...
I've had this problem now for a week or so and I have been trying to fix it ever since it started happening.
I get an error that my display adapter is not configured properly. As far as I know, that's got to be the video card right? (Geforce2 MX) :P I don't have a clue what started this error...

Yesterday, I've decided to go all out on updating drivers and found out how to update my Intel Chipset. (440bx)
So, I did that expecting a performance increase but it actually lowered it! :( My framerates are now lower in pretty much every game and movies on my computer are now choppy...
