I had the same problem with my Epox board. Turns out that in addition to the L1 bridges being done you probably have to do your L-6 bridge as well. To check, with the board set at 100fsb try to turn up or down the multiplier to see if you L1 bridges are done properly. It will give you a...
After installing my new mobo and processor I upgraded my video card and installed the software from a cd. Then a new sound card and software from a cd. Now however I can't install any games. They lock up the system during installation and I have to shut down if it doesn't reboot by itself. I...
I have the Epox 8kta3. I have the memory going at 133 now so that's ok. When I tried to go to 133fsb by moving the jumper on the mobo it would'nt boot. I tried lowering the multiplier in the bios and still nothing. When the jumper on this board is at 133 it automatically sets the memory the...
I've got a 900 t-bird with the L-1 unlocked and that seems to be fine as I took it to 1.0 without a hitch on the 100fsb. How ever I need to do that bridge work on the L-6 and maybe L-7 to get it to run on the 133fsb. Can someone tell me what I need to do or point me the right way.
I got my Epox 8kta3 and t-bird 900 going fine. With the fsb at 100 I've taken it to 1.0 no problem. When I switch the jumper on the board to 133fsb it won't boot. I get a post code that says" auto detection of on board dram and cache". The bios is set to auto detect the memory at...
I just got my Epox 8kta3 installed with a 900 t-bird. Runs great. When I set the jumper on the mobo to 133 it won't boot and gives me a post code that says "auto detection of onboard dram and cache". The mobo automatically sets the dram to 133 when the jumper is at 133. Any thoughts...
Go to chemtronics.com website and they have a list of resellers there. I had to try 3 of them before I found on that had the pen in stock. They offer a micro point or a regular point. Micro is the ticket here.
I'm about to do my 1st system build. My main question is, where to start with my clock multiplier. If my 8kta3 board has a fsb of 133 and I'm not interested in cranking this puppy up, should I simply unlock the cpu and set the multiplier at about 7 and go? That should put me at about 931 and...
