    Netscape's dead. No one cares.

Since AOL took over Netscape it has went down hill fast. Where I work, we develop web based applications and they all work fine with the verions that are less than 6, but when 6 was released, we had nothing but problems. So we started designing the apps to work with IE. Just trying to figure...

    Windows XP home or professional?

I went with Pro after some friends had tried both the Home and Professional. They recommended Pro for the networking features and since I was in the process of building a dual processor system, Pro was the only way to go.

Has anyone used? WS FTP or other FTP server programs?

If you are looking for a FTP client, I would recommend SecureFX by VanDyke www.vandyke.com We use it at the office and it has ran circles around the others. However, that is just my opinion.

XP Drivers released for Linksys WPC11 Wireless!

The file that Linksys released: Driver Version: 0.29.10a Date Released: December 12, 2001 Worked just great with XP after I downloaded the firmware update to my access point. Granted, it is not native driver support included for XP, but it works.

Linksys BEFW11S4 Router...can the firewall be turned off?

No, the firewall cannot be turned off. However, you can place a computer in the DMZ to have it outside the firewall. The DMZ settings are located under the advanced settings tab.

Anyone using the Linksys router with Zone Alram Pro integrated??

I tried the ZA, but lost nearly all connectivity on ICQ and mIRC. So I switched it off. Maybe I am doing something wrong, so before I pass judgement on it, I am going to do some more research on it.

    To WinXP or not to

I am glad that I upgraded to XP, except for the price of the upgrade. I was fortunate to have built a relative new system, so there was no cost in upgrading my hardware. However, I am starting a countdown to the first Service Pack for XP.

Poll for Win NT/2K/XP users: Which do YOU use?

I currently use XP, there does seem to be some improvemets over 2000. However, all this nonsense of having to register the product with Microsoft really bites. I have noticed my machine boots up alot quicker, but for the price I had to pay to get the upgrade, it just seems a bit too pricy to...

NOT HOT?: AMEX and ZDNET/CNET/MYSIMON/BUYERSASSURANCE change TOS

I have tried to use the price matching with the Amex Blue, but they seem to have a reason on why they cannot fulfill the request. So all I can say is goodbuy to Amex, because it just is not worth the headaches of following their procedures that they have posted, only to find (in my opinion)...
